The LCD-5’s magnetic circuitry utilizes our new proprietary Parallel Uniforce voice coils, employing parallel traces to keep impedance low and provide increased free voltage headroom. Parallel Uniforce achieves uniform force by altering the current density within each parallel trace. The parallel traces have variable width and were optimized to achieve uniform force over the entire diaphragm surface without increasing impedance. The uniform force helps prevent distortion and provides better control over the driver, resulting in improved resolution. In addition to Parallel Uniforce voice coils, LCD-5 also utilizes Fluxor magnets to improve efficiency.
